Kids Country proudly supports the work of the Marshal Papworth Fund, which is also managed by the East of England Agricultural Society.
The Marshal Papworth fund provides scholarships for people in developing countries to come over to England and partake in agricultural and horticultural courses, to provide students with practical skills and valuable knowledge that they can take home to share with their local communities. Supporting their future food needs for generations to come.
Each year the students studying in the UK always take huge pleasure in being involved in the Food & Farming Day and sharing their knowledge and teaching the Kids Country school children about farming in other countries around the world. Whilst our farmers provide a lot of the food we eat, as a country we still import some food grown overseas and the Global Market Place zone gives an insight into this.
They came away with so much. We got to experience a wide range of activities from train rides to drumming and planting and sorting vegetables as well as seeing animals. The children and the adults really enjoyed our dayYaxley Infant School
