The East of England Agricultural Society is a registered charity* that supports the agricultural community across the eastern region. Part of its remit is to educate future generations on the importance of farming, food production, and the countryside.
The Society, based at the Showground in Alwalton, Peterborough, works hard to develop collaborative opportunities with other charities and educational bodies.
As well as Kids Country, the Society also administers the Marshal Papworth Fund. This initiative provides agricultural and horticultural scholarships to help students from developing countries hone their practical skills and then share valuable knowledge within their local communities in order to meet future food needs for generations to come.
Members of the East of England Agricultural Society enjoy a number of benefits, including free or discounted entry to many of its events.
Young professionals working within agriculture and allied industries can join the Cultiv8 members group. It aims to create a network of positive-minded people to share ideas and knowledge in order to benefit them and the wider industry.
By becoming a member of either Cultiv8 or the Society, you also help support agriculture and associated charities.
By educating thousands of children though our Kids Country initiative and encouraging them to talk to their families about food and the choices they make, we can play a major part in growing public support for the work of farmers.Jeremy Staples Chief Executive of the East of England Agricultural Society
